Handcent Widget

Is there a way to configure the widget or skin it so it looks more impressive than just a simple icon like the htc messages widget?

Not unless the dev.changes it or someone at xda does.

I don't think the Handcent widget really counts as a true widget. It doesn't do anything other than bring up the app.

yeah, all the widget does is display in the bottom corner of the icon the # of unread messages u have, but thats in ur notification bar n e way, so its kinda pointless.
