Handcent's notification disabled?

I am using Handcent on my LG Optimus Elite for VM.

I am having trouble keeping my notification tones in tact. I set my ringer for Handcent and for notifications, but once I restart my phone, for whatever reason, the settings seem to reset to the default.

Anyone else having this problem or know how I can fix it?

Are the tones stored/downloaded on the sd card or are you applying them from an app for ringtones/sounds?

They are stored on the SD card. I have tried deleting and theb readding them, as well as brand new ones, but that hasn't helped.
