Hey fellow forumers, I am having a problem with my hangouts app. Lately, I have not been receiving messages unless I go on the app itself. Anything going on? Sent from my moto g.

Have you made Hangouts your default SMS app (in Settings/SMS, when you're on the text tab)?

It may be possible your connection to Google might be intermittent. Have you tried clearing the Hangout cache?

Did you somehow mute notifications in the settings.

I did clear the hangouts cache and it started to work. Thanks a lot.
