I didn't pre order like I should have UGH. Heres to hoping that AT&T has them in store on the 28th like they promised! Luckily I work less than 5 minutes from a large AT&T store so if true, should have a white one secured by then!
I hope you've come to the realization that there IS NO expected arrival dates announced for the GSIII in store. Anyone telling you anything in store or over the phone else is just trying to get you out of their hair.
Shipping date has to be a mistake because I don't even have a tracking number yet. AT&T's site's definition of the shipping date on there: "This is the day the item left the fulfillment center."

Yeah, there was. Apparently it doesnt mean much, though, because I just got a tracking number for mine. That was a pleasant surprise. Will be here tomorrow.

Just got my fedex confirmation. Ordered Monday, 6/25. White. Will be here tomorrow the 27th before 3pm. For anyone that cares it was also off-contract, full price of 549.99+ tax.

That's great news. Not only did you order yesterday and are getting it tomorrow - which means they are pretty much caught up with pre-orders...but your story is about the WHITE one.

Yeah, I do feel bad though. (cliche, I know) I ordered mine yesterday and am getting it tomorrow. The people getting screwed here are the ones who pre ordered from day one they were able to. I'm not going to sit here and say I don't want my phone, because I do, but it still would suck very much to be in that boat and I hope AT&T has a damn good excuse and compensates them in some way.
They very well might be... I don't understand what logical sense that makes on their part but maybe it's just the way their priority system is wired? No clue why they would do this.
Cool. I saw no notice. But to another point, what made you switch from the One X? I'm doing the same thing.
JUST received shipping email from AT&T Premier. Ordered Saturday night.. Standard Overnight shipping. Should get it tomorrow by 3 pm! Full off contract order
I ordered mine Monday night (after being fed up with stores not knowing when they were getting it in) and got a shipping notice tonight! 
Ordered a white one on the 7th and got an email with the 21st delivery date like everyone else, then a text on the 22nd telling me it would ship the 25th. Yesterday (26th for those counting) I get an email that my order has been cancelled.
Not only are they late on the communications, but now I'm also at the back of the line!

Holy crap this phone is amazing. Well worth the wait. Blows the One X out of the water in my opinion.

I just ordered as well over the phone. did your original confirmation say the device will ship within in 10 days? i also paid full price btw.
Yes. Mine said within ten business days. I ordered mine off their site directly. This was on Monday night (late) and my phone arrived by FedEx today. Hope you get yours soon, friend.

Just purchased a white one on att.com at 12:40PM CST. Its now 1:40PM and the status has already changed from Backordered to Processing.
