Happy Ship Day everyone!! :)

Subtract the last part I said about At&t not notifying us.

There's some people on the official ATT forums who even ordered on the 6th and they aren't getting there's today... so this really is a huge CLUSTER- to add in people who ordered last minute like the 18th and 19th, and they are getting there's? makes it a whole lot worse.
 
First phone call of the day so far:

"Hi, do you have the Galaxy S III in stock?"

-No, it's going to be a while, they're all backordered still.

"Oh, damn, I thought they were going to be in there on the 21st!! Why don't you have them?"

-They're backordered. People that ordered them don't have them yet. I still don't have mine yet, either.


-------Off to a bad start. I should have asked her if she was a member here. (just kidding, there are no girls on the Internet)
 
Wait.. I wasn't under the impression we are making posts here to receive Likes and thanks? and you're still bringing up "being an adult" after mentioning something like that?

Likes and thanks are simply indications of how useful (or not) your posts are - to the AC community at large. Pretty simple concept, but you DO seem to have trouble with those - like the difference between EXPECT and PROMISE/GUARANTEE. Sorry for your issues... ;)

By the way, you should really thank me! It appears that I motivated your fellow whiners to give you 7 new "thanks" all in the last few minutes to help you out! :D
 
How much you want to bet that AT&T's email to customers letting them know their phone order will be delayed further will be delayed due to the sheer volume of emails they have to send? That should make even more people happy with them. :D
 
Thanks Phil. Any chance you can ask them if they have any clue when they'll be selling them in corporate stores?

I did. The short answer is nothing officially, but I just suggest calling the store to ask if they have any.

I'm comfortable that most here can (and have) figured out the source of most DRIVEL here. You know, the "I'm gonna cancel my AT&T service becuase !#%$!#^!#!!!!" kinda drivel.

We'll all be sure to watch and see who your carrier is next week and next month. ;)

I'm not the one on here patronizing relevant complaints, you know like those who ordered on the 6th and aren't getting one, and those who ordered last minute on the 19th are getting one? If you're not able to comprehend how that could upset customers after being strung around? i can't help you.

What's wrong with canceling a service plan? is it that impossible to see happening? you sound like a defender for an MMO company or something, like WoW. You ever hear of speaking with your wallet? or do you just dismiss when someone craps in your coffee.

I actually signed up a while ago and just felt I had nothing useful to say without actually having an android. I was just excited about it and wanted to let everyone know that it's not a unicorn...that it actually arrived. I thought it would give some a bit of piece of mind. I'm actually trying to work as well so I can't focus all my time on the phone.

Not sure how much I'll actually get done with my real job though!

This is exciting!
 
AT&T's official statement, hot off the press. (Erm, from my inbox.)

Ok..... the 25th. I ordered for an in-store pickup. I swear this better not change anything. If I dont hear/have anything by then, Tuesday morning I will be calling customer service. This is such crap. Pre-ordered on the 8th and still no word.

Like I say, we'll all be watching to see who your carrier is in a week or two. I think I know the answer... ;) Empty threats, wild-eyed rants...

Looks like mine may not arrive until tomorrow or even Monday either. Life will go on, and I know on Monday my carrier will still be AT&T. Good luck on cancelling your service and finding an S3 anywhere else before Monday...
 
My guess would be that they won't be offering in store today due to the fact that not all preorders have shipped yet. I feel as if it would make more sense for them to ship all pre orders before selling in store to prevent a crap load of pissed off pre ordered customers. Just my two pennies.
 
@Phil Thanks for the information! AC is always on top of things even for us! I also got a call from ATT letting me know that it will be shipped either today or sometime this weekend and I should "expect" it on Monday or before.
