This phone has been nothing but a let down since I got the developers edition when it was released. I'm sorry to say I'm happy to switch to the note 3 on October 1st. Maybe if htc actually kept their word and gave us 4.2.2 in the summer or now 4.3.3 by the end of September. Or even made their stock developers app text bigger files then just 300mb mms. But at this point who even cares. Note 3 actually is worth the change.

Sounds like the lack of updates is your let down and not the phone. Hope you enjoy the Note maybe you'll be satisfied then.

In the uk and have 4.2... No big shakes.... Is it your carrier that is stopping the update?

Other than the well documented issue (see my posts) re after market care with a USB/ charging issue (which I would get with any manufacturer rather than apps in uk) .... I'm loving the phone.

Think I'm getting a note 3, likely I'm going to keep the one for when I go out or when the note isn't practical... Inner geek wants that dual screen apps and bugger screen as 95% my phone use is apps and web browsing.

I do have Concerns over the screen and the drop on dpi and he clarity of the whites thought so waiting for reviews first

I have the developers edition. My updates come directly from htc. The phone just isn't that great. It's really that simple. The adaptive buttons are stupid. I'm always hitting the back button. I can't wait to ditch this phone.

Your hitting the back button from your own foibles. I have yet to accidentally hit either of the buttons I actually love how it's only 2 so you have less of a chance of hitting them. And maybe you should wait till the end of the month or 2? Haven't you been hearing all the news about how HTC will be updating the One through September and October? I guess you're slow...

Well Samsung just isn't that great. It's that Simple. It's menu system is stupid cause you're always hitting the menu button instead of the back button. Can't wait till Samsung gets knocked off their perch.

Good luck. See ya. Have a NICE day :)

P.S.

If you haven't noticed, it's not the end of the month yet and if for some reason you think it is, I suggest you re-learn how many days there are in a month.

No you are clearly the slow one. Read my above post. I clearly state now htc claims sept we are getting 4.3. There's a very underlying sarcasm in my post. You wouldn't get that though since you didn't read it properly from the start. It's clear why htc is going under. It's also clear why people fail to support their hand sets. They're crap.

And...uh...yeah...

Sarcasm just blasts you in the face when it's.....TEXT. That's why people put a "/s" at the end to let people know it's sarcasm.

Semp1 good luck in your search. for most that use the HTC ONE it kicks ***.... for you. maybe not so much--- .....

I won't wish the guy good luck and mean it. Why? Cause of his attitude. Had he just simply said that this phone is not for him, I would have understood but he didn't. I hope the dude has to return his Note 3 consistently making it a total pain....

Oh no don't wish that upon me. What would I do of I have to return my phone multiple times. Oh man. That's horrible.

I won't. I know what you would do. You would cry foul that 4.4 is not on the note 3 yet and call it the biggest terd that ever graced a porcelain god. But it wouldn't be horrible...it would be down right hilarious!

If for you updates are so important you do realise what version the note 2 is running?

Yes it's running an older os but why would I care about note 2. I'm getting note 3 which runs 4.3. Also samsung actually updates when they say they will unlike htc. And it's not just updates. It's over all company support.

I don't follow Samsung so unsure if they update when they say.

But don't you think the fact they have left the note 2 on such an old version and not updated indicative that they may do the same with the note 3... In 6 months when 4.3 is outdated you'll be on here saying Samsung are this and that and your getting an iPhone

I never understood these posts. I left the Galaxy S3 for the HTC One and I never ran to the S3 forum to be like OH SNAP SON I HATE THIS PHONE I AM OUT.

If you don't like the phone simply return or switch... Telling us doesn't benefit anything and usually just starts a flame war.

The dev edition is still dependent on carriers for updates. The reason the dev addition doesn't have any new OSs in the US is likely AT&T.
