Happy or Not Happy?

I have been loving my nexus one. I just rooted and put on CyanogenMod today too!

I would like to see the full 512mb of ram available for use instead of just only 217mb!

Did you root it AFTER the new update? or before? Just updated mine and was wondering if it's worth it to root it? What are the benefits? longer battery life?

I would love to hear the one and only person who is not happy with this device. They failed to leave their reasoning why.

I don't vote since I no longer have the Nexus, so the point is moot... The only thing I was unhappy about my particular Nexus was the battery life. It was horrible, and nothing I did (all the *tricks*) didn't help. Defective unit most likely. Returned. Was going to get a replacement, but based on how HTC is/was to deal with, I just decided to get the refund instead.

I'll try Android again in the near future with a different vendor, once one comes out that is equal or better in performance to the Nexus One, and also works on T-Mobile US 3G - right now, only the Nexus does (the only one with high res screen, fast processor, 1700MHz 3G, and Android 2.1).

Yeah, something does not sound right, the battery life I am getting is pretty respectable honestly. It's pretty much on par if not a tad bit better than the Moto Droid.

Just out of curiosity, how much life are you getting from a full charge? I know this can be difficult as every day the device gets used differently,.... more phone calls one day, etc.

I'm just curious because the most I can seem to get is around eight hours. Just wondering if this is what you're seeing or if you generally get more than that.

Just to put my .02 in: I LOVE my Nexus One! I got my iphone the week they first came out and I loved it too. I went through a few, broken screen, unresponsive screen, and an over heating 3g. The overheating really turned me off, as the home didnt work all last summer. I also started wanting more from it. Right after it was replaced, N1 came out!

The N1 is a FANTASTIC step up from the iPhone. Honestly most ppl dont use half the features on their iphone so they wont even know what they are missing. But the native GPS, multitasking, google acct integration, camera/flash are so great! I LOVE it! Just my .02!

absolutely satisfied

I got my nexus one 3 days ago and came from the blackberry 8320. I was a bit hesitant because of the lack of a physical keyboard but i'm glad i made the switch. Most people don't like the stock android keyboard and there are others you can use to replace it like smart keyboard but i didn't have a problem with the stock keyboard. There was a quick learning curve going from a physical keyboard to a virtual one but it didn't take too long to get used to it. Going from a blackberry to an android device seemed like a very logical progression. So, anyone changing from a blackberry to an N1 shouldn't have any problems getting used to the android os. All in all the nexus one is a fantastic device!!!! Of course I showed it off to my buddies with Iphones and they were impressed. Sad, though that a lot of people in my area didn't even know this device existed. Unless, you keep up with the happenings in technology, the lack of advertising about the nexus one may inhibit the phone's capabilities to reach the masses. Just my opinion.

over a month of use and I still love the Nexus. Still haven't sold the iPhone though. Gonna wait a few more weeks.
The screen accuracy is starting to bum me out though. I don't want to send it in because no one knows if it's hardware or software. Do the 3rd party keyboard apps improve things?

I have only had my N1 for a week and I will admit it is not perfect and there are things I miss from my blackberry (led notification, outlook calendar sync) and I am still having the 3G / Edge switching problem, but overall I am happy. I would not go back, but there is room for improvement IMHO.

I'm back and loving the Nexus!! :D

battery on this one is MUCH better... double the life...

I would live to het hands on a Nexus One. But Sprint subscribers will get the Supersonic soon. That maybe my next phone. HTC I really growing as a manufacturer. Love Google.
