Haptic touch lag?

Hi!

New ultra arrived - generally happy, except the haptic vibration has a really annoying lag when I type. I've tried different keyboards and it's the same on all of them.

Is there a setting to tweak for this or is it a duff unit that should go back? It's driving me nuts!

The phone itself is lovely - I can't get over how light it is!

Eta: sometimes the lag catches up and buzzes twice. It's like it can't keep up with my (legendarily bad lol) phone typing?

Mine has no delays. Have you tried the SwiftKey keyboard?

I don't love gboard but I have a hunch it may not be keyboard specific wince it was bad with both the default Samsung keyboard and SwiftKey.

If it isn't some kind of software tweak, I fear it may be hard way and need to be replaced. Ugh.

Agreed about gboard. Nothing comes close to SwiftKey for customability and flexibility.

I think I *may* have solved it - illl give it a few days and see how it goes (I turned all the system haptic off and then back on so we will see....)

Annnnd that didn't last, so I figured I'd do a factory reset. Tada! Not only did the transfer from old phone go better this time and more stuff made it over, but keyboard is now great. Glad I don't have to go through the hassle of exchanging it!
