Android Central Question

I have a samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 that I used to download an e-book from a site using Google Chrome. After the file was downloaded seemingly right the tablet rebooted. After the reboot it stayed open for around 1 minute and then rebooted again. This was happening every time it was restarting. So, I tried to delete the downloaded file and even Google Chrome app, but every time I tapped Google Chrome icon, or tried to delete it or the file the tablet immediately freezed and rebooted. I tried both in normal and safe mode. After that I tried to hard reset it and clean cache parturition via Power button + Volume up but neither worked. In fact it restarted again with all my data, downloads and even desktop image as if I had never done a hard reset. So now I don't know what to do. Is there any way to fix the problem or the device is useless from now on?

This one costs $2 for a day of premium access (with free slow access at 150 Kb/sec if you register) -- not sure if it's worth it to you: https://ru.samsungbay.com/download-firmware/?download=7973

Also, have you looked here? https://www.imei.info/download-firm...alaxy-tab-2-101/GT-P5100/EUR/?pda=P5100XXDNA1

Thanks a lot! Ok, I will try both of them to see if the can be downloaded and if they work and write back the results. But I see that the second link is firmware for GT-P5100. Is it compatible with GT-P5110 divices?

Oh, I missed that. Sorry, but I can't find an entry for P5110 on that site. It's probably not a good idea to try flashing the P5100 firmware.

An update about my current progress.1) I downloaded the file from the first link (thanks!) and it's alright and the right type. 2) Inserted it into Odin at AP box. 3) Read the directions in the link of a previous post and followed them one by one. And here the problems started again. I put my device in download mode and then connected it to pc but nothing happened. I waited for hours but the tablet stayed on the ''Downloading.... Do not turn off target!!'' screen and no colored box (eg COM:3, as is given in the instructions link) appeared on pc or tablet screen. So I was stuck once again... To be sure I tried it with another laptop but again the same problem. I also checked the usb cable and portals of the laptops and they are fine. On top of that, the tablet charges when it is connected with either laptop, so apparently there is not problem with the device either. It just seems that it's not recognizable but the laptops! Any suggestions/ideas about what to do now? I read in the instructions that you may need to update your Drivers, but I don't know how to do it or if this will work. PS, when I downloaded odin from herehttps://odindownload.com/ I also saw something called ''SAMSUNG USB DRIVERS 1.5.27.0''. Should I download it also and could it help me solve the above-mentioned problem?

From my phone - still no power.

Yes-install the drivers first.

Did it (by the way, the laptop said that the drivers were already installed), followed again the steps and again nothing..... The tablet still doesn't ''communicate'' with the laptop. So probably its a dead-end now... I know that I have become annoying but is there anything else to do to force them communicate or an alternative in general? I think that maybe the problem has to do with the fact that the tablet hasn't the USB Debugging option checked, but I can do nothing to change it. The device still reboots every time with the option unchecked (I tried it).

I was. Took another hit yesterday, so I decided to shut down. (The last storm, about 3 weeks ago, took out a router - and the one Spectrum supplies is useless - you can't forward port 80.)

All back to normal now ... I hope. The river crests in a few hours, but I\m high enough that I shouldn't even know about it.

That would do it - without USB debugging, you can't use Odin. What you can try - I don't know if it will be worth the money to you - is look on eBay for JTAG services (not JTAG devices) and contact some and see if they can JTAG the firmware into a virtually bootlooped 5110. (JTAG takes the place of the processor, so it's not running the firmware that's in the phone, so even if that firmware is messed up, it doesn't matter. and since it doesn't use the USB connector, it doesn't matter is USB debugging is enabled or not.)
