Has Accelerometer Burn out in New s6 Been Cured?

I was going to buy a note 5 or edge plus but s6 has ir blaster. Do the new ones still burn out the accelerometer or has the issue been fixed?

The problem was with the S6 Edge when using the rapid charger. It apparently heats the battery, which is adjacent to the accelerometer chip, damaging it. I haven't seen any reports of this with the S6 but I still recommend not using the rapid charger on either phone. I use wireless charging only, I'm in no hurry. I use three wireless chargers - bedroom, living room, work - so I touch up the charge several times a day. May put one in the car. Yes, there is a new rapid charging wireless charger, but I would not use it either. Rapid charging, corded or wireless, makes more heat and will stress components. Kind of like running nitrous in your car; lots of power and fun until you break something.

I have a Galaxy s6 and also my landscape moving doesn't work anymore. If it is cause to the rapid charger I guess I broke my accelerometer :/

Wouldn't that be covered by the manufacturer's warranty? After all it was their charger that caused the issue. It's not like you used some $2 crappy charger from eBay.

On the edge the "fix" was software update. Camera rotated but you still had no accelerometer.
