Has Android Device Manager changed.

There have been many threads where people cannot use or remember their original password, and now when Locked again via ADM it says a the new password is not needed as there is already a password.

Maybe Google has closed this Lock override feature. There seems no acknowledgement of an issue from Google.

Anyone have issues witth their original password not working after Lollipop, or not being able to reset it with your own Google account if forgotten?

It may be specific to Samsung devices.
