I noticed today my knock on feature isn't working anymore. Yes it is checked on in the settings but it won't work no matter where I touch on the screen. However it will make the screen go black if I double tap it while the phone is active. It just won't make it come back on when it is locked. I don't know why. Maybe some of you can help. I have the at&t version. Thanks.

I bought my LG G2 at AT&T store on September 20 2013, paid $540.00 regular price for it. Never a problem with my G2, no rooted just AT&T stock. When the 4.4.2 Kit Kat upgrade via OTA came I go for it. Four days after Kit Kat, knock knock dies. Now I have to use zoom to open the apps at Google Play Store, not open the normal way. The screenshot shows a blue line around the screen cause the zoom effect. uploadfromtaptalk1394853956737.jpg

Have you taken it to there reps? What did they tell you?

No, I am convinced that the upgrade to 4.4.2 Kit Kat was the responsible not LG or AT&T. My LG G2 is the best android phone ever. Right now I just waiting for the release at AT&T of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and, of course, the LG G3, Sony Xperia Z2. Take my decision and go for one of them.

Knock On works just fine on my AT&T G2 with 4.4.2.
There would have been a lot more posts if the KitKat release caused knock on/off problems.

Are you using a lock screen app or the stock lock screen?
Are you using a screen protector?

How do you know that it is not the Go Locker causing your problem?
Try using just the stock lock screen and see if the Knock On feature works.

Ok, I uninstall GO Locker Prime and activate stock lock. Problem remains, I desactivate stock lock and just let the G2 without any locker, problem remains. I install Holo Locker Plus and problem remains. I can enjoy my G2 with a dead knock knock and when the new 2014 phones arrives at AT&T go for one of them.

If I were having an issue that I just couldn't figure out I would backup and do a reset.

I'd spend the hour or 2 setting up my phone if there was a chance it would fix my issue.

Yes, I think like you. Already do a factory reset and the problem remains, knock knock is dead on my G2. The only way that apps open in Google Play Store is via zoom. All this happens after official 4.4.2 Kit Kat upgrade via OTA. Otherwise I'm good, super battery, great SMS, great gmail, perfect calls. Just waiting for the arrival at AT&T of the Samsung Galaxy S5, the LG G3 and the Xperia Z2. Make my decision and go for it. Not sure if the Xperia Z2 will be on sale at AT&T.

Sounds like you have a dead spot on your screen....I had the same issue on my Verizon g2 the knock on feature went away but it would knock off ,I had noticed that when I would pull down on the notification bar (not swipe but pull) I would reach a certain spot on the screen where it was dead & the bar would just go back up... try that out..

With that said, I have since switched to T-Mobile & have only been with them less then a month I am now on my second g2 & I'm about to get my 3rd g2 due to the knock on feature disappearing , I've had both g2s in a case from day one & the knock on & off feature works then all of a sudden it won't knock on... I've tried everything & even factory reset & nothing...

Try hitting the center of the screen. In 4.2.2 I had to tap on top of the LG icon. but after the 4.4.2 update, the center of the screen seems the sweet spot.

Have you resolved your issue on knock on not working?

Hopefully, you may have already. But just in case still not....here's your answer.....did you enable your knock code? If yes, then it's only normal that knock on will not work. Knock code and knock on two different features which works on the same function....that is to open then phone by knocking on screen. If knock code is enabled, expect that the knock on will not work. Use your knock code to open the phone. If you want knock on? Then you must disable the knock code. Knock on by double tapping screen will now work.
