New guy checking in. Looking for advice on a question that seems to be mostly unanswered across the internet. I have an Alcatel A502DL and/or TCL LX? on Simple Mobile. Apparently, I'm unable to get the phone on the 'fastboot device' list. OS: Windows 8.1 Pro. I'm not sure if it's possible to root this phone and/or oem unlock the bootloader? Listed underneath the 'Android Device' tab in Device Manager is "Android ADB Interface." I feel like I need to have the boot interface and composite drivers running as well, but I can't get them installed correctly for the life of me. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the MediaTek, ADB, and Windows driver's so many times and had a go with ADK.
As well as this, I can't get past the "waiting on device" message to save my life that usually comes after a 'fastboot' command. The World Wide Web has almost no information to offer me if this phone can even be OEM unlocked? Nonetheless rooted. ???
