Has anyone else improved battery life by turning off Wi-Fi calling on T-Mobile?

When I first got this phone (after my LG g4 bootlooped) I was stoked to have a brand new device that would hopefully be optimised right out of the box, and wouldn't suffer the same battery woes as my previous device.
Unfortunately I found out right away. That keeping Wi-Fi calling on and making it the priority was draining my battery while idle.
I have great coverage without the Wi-Fi here in Portland, OR so I turned it off. Now I've got great battery life and my calls seem normal.
These flagships have so many bells and whistles that it's hard to know sometimes what you don't really need to make your phone perform the way you hope.
Anyways, just thought I would share my experience. This is an amazing phone and I can see keeping it for two years, no problem.

Yes having unlimited data, and great signal in my area never even bother using wifi for data or wifi calling for calls. My wifi is always off and improves my battery significantly.

I value WiFi calling for those times when I'm in an area with a poor signal. At a friends house in the country is a good example. If it isn't needed, it's always a good idea to turn WiFi off.

I use wifi at home but not wifi calling. I did a few times to test it out but other than that.. I keep wifi calling off usually.

I think I would use it in a situation where I had no signal otherwise. Also, I don't think you can video call without it, though I may be wrong about That. I don't use that feature very often
