Has anyone else seen or read this? Could this affect the Note 10 & 10+ series?

As anybody actually tried it with a Note 10/10+?

I just tried it and it DIDN'T work. I could not unlock my phone using an "untrained" finger and a clear case. I couldn't even do it with a plastic bag.

Samsung issued a statement that the issue is caused by the inherent qualities of silicone. They will be putting out an update to fix this before too long.

I'm not going to comb over news articles and posts for this ingenious piece of advice.

Has it occurred to anyone affected to just delete their Fingerprints and set a PIN instead?? At least until a patch is pushed out..

You're welcome!

That's not what I asked.

I asked if anybody has succeeded in doing this on a Note 10/10+.

So far, I've only seen videos of it working on the S10.

Evidently, it only works if you have a full coverage silicone case. I tried it with the factory screen protector, a clear plastic case, and a plastic zip lock bag and it didn't work with Any of them.

All of my documents are in the cloud and need a fingerprint everyone to get into the app. I don't really worry about this fingerprint issue because I always have my phone on me.

My 10+ stays with me 24/7. Tried it with some thin plastic protectors I had on older phones and I couldn't unlock it neither using my registered nor unregistered fingers.

This is what happens when outlets like Forbes write articles that is missing important information; like the fact that it only works with a specific type of screen protector.

Forbes is garbage when it comes to tech reporting. They're almost as bad as The Sun and National Enquirer.

I don't use fps at all and still had issues logging into my bank this morning. completely mucked up my login. thanks, Samsung.

So it looks like some banks really did disable fps login. That sucks, I wonder if their making a bigger deal out of this than it really is?
