Has anyone got the Lollipop update yet?

Re: Anyone received 5.0 OTA? Anyone? Anywhere?

...but I'm not going to stress out over a few new items.

from KitKat to Lollipop there has been the biggest UI change in Android history and 128,680 commits. Yeah, just a few.

According to several replies on Twitter from their Nexus account, @googlenexus, the OTA rollout will be "in the coming weeks."

Actually what would help most would be for the factory image files to get posted somewhere so that those who want Lollipop can just go and snag it rather than waiting for the OTA update process. I updated to Kit Kat that way.

Re: Anyone received 5.0 OTA? Anyone? Anywhere?

I think when we heard "released on November 3rd" we all assumed "OTA's INBOUND!"

I'm sure that Google meant "released" as in, the Nexus 9 will be available and Lollipop will be available to the public. Everything on Google's Nexus twitter page suggest that the N5 will "get lollipop in the coming weeks", not "it's available now and rollout will take weeks"

Most people consider "released" to mean "I can get it now". When Apple releases an OS on a specific date you can download it on that date. No "rollout" crap. There's no reason that Google can't do the same thing, and since only a few devices are involved it's nowhere near the volume that Apple has to deal with when they release an OS. So Google surely has the server capacity to do it.

0:30 UK time - still nothing on Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (the older one). Google, stop taking the ****! Just give us a date and time and don't play games.

It'll takes days, if not weeks, for all Nexus devices to update. Its just the way it is.

The images will probably be up tomorrow or Thursday then people can update their own devices.

Maybe Google wants people to buy Nexus 6 and 9 instead of consumers realizing that Lollipop runs fine on even the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 (2012).

Anyways, I'm good with waiting if they continue to update apps. I hope we get the new material themed keyboard this Wednesday.

I hope so. The Nexus 5 was my first android device after being a iPhone user for a few years. Primary reason I purchased the Nexus was to be first in line for the updates. This rollout debacle by Google has really left a sour taste in my mouth. Hope your right and we get a factory image before week end.

I'd rather have the updates done the way google does them as opposed to apples way of crashing everyone's phone all at once and then trying to fix the problems that's for sure!!!!

Jesus man...y'all need to relax. People get crazy over phones..I'm looking foreword to my N5 getting updated also. Breath ...woosahh

I don't care about the OTA crap, just give us the factory image so we can install it ourselves. Let me do all of the work so I can have it a little early.

Well, today is update Wednesday. Expect more Google app updates and possible OTA rollouts.

This was pitiful but it's getting funny. Of course, I'll admit I'm weird. I wouldn't by anything from Apple. I never have but in trying to help friends I've dealt with the Apple Attitude, both corporate and consumer, and want nothing to do with it.

As strange as it seems, I bought my Nexus 5 simply because it allegedly had the cleanest Android OS and was an excellent smart phone.

So, I'll wait for the Lollipop update and won't need to pull my knickers out of my crotch every time I stand up.

I just want to make sure...I installed the latest Lolipop Preview. Will I get the final version pushed through as an update or will I have to manually install it?

Thanks.

No update here Canada Nexus 5 yet. I don't get why everyone is going crazy lol its just a software update, it's not like kitkat has any issues.
