I went to Seattle a few years back, loved it! I was told that I happened to be there at a beautiful time of year (went in July) and it was sunny and pleasant. I was told most of the time it is drizzly. Seattle is very beautiful and from what I remember a "clean city" lots of outdoor activity and a nice skyline. Make sure to visit "Pikes Place Market"

I drove with my family from Southern California up to Northern CA., Oregon then Washington. While we did do outdoor wilderness on the way up (Yosemite, Shasta, Crater Lake, Oregon coast) by the time we got to Seattle we wanted to just relax and do simple stuff.

I went to Seattle about five years ago. Absolutely beautiful city that I would recommend anyone to see. I went in August, so it didn't rain very much. Eyes open on the streets though, lots of junkies stalking around looking for money. Totally worth the trip, overall.

I lived in the Seattle area for several years - it's a beautiful area, especially in the summer time.

If you get a chance I'd recommend a ferry ride from Bremerton to Seattle. It's about a one hour ride and the you get to see some great scenery. I've taken the trip so I depart Bremerton just as the sun is setting and arrive in Downtown Seattle when it's dark. The Seattle skyline is awesome when viewed from a ferry at night. (The ferry is run by the Washington Department of Transportation and can accommodate both vehicles and pedestrians. The cost for a car and a couple of passengers is about $20 in total.)

Beautiful and wet lol. I was stationed in Ft. Lewis for a while.
