Has anyone noticed if Google acknowledges plethora of 4.3 bugs/issues???

I made sure I cleared data and started with a fresh install. The only issues I am facing now involve compatibility of apps due to the security changes. Mobo Player quit working for me so I switched to BS Player and have found that I actually like it better. Other than that and Netflix, I have a mod that no longer works. As far as the operating system, it is much smoother and battery life is a bit better. I'm also noticing that the phone doesn't heat up as much as it used to.

That's not an official Google page. (Actually looks pretty spammy to me...)

Where is the ":official" Google Page, and do they have one on Facebook, like so many companies have, or can they not take the time or afford to have one on Facebook???? I have dozens of products where the company has a Facebook Page. Is Google not that up to date??????

Did you just ask if Google has a Facebook page ? Wow.

Absolutely no bugs here. I flashed the images, left everything stock, and it feels like a new phone. Seems to be faster now, and with slightly better battery life.

I know that mister Genius, I was replying to "Choorp" who commented in post #18 on this thread that the page is not an "OFFICIAL GOOGLE PAGE". after I posted a link to it earlier. You would have discovered that if you had bothered to read what I was replying to when I asked the question.

Absolutely no problems here on 4.3, and my browser seems to be really snappy. I'm hoping for the better battery life, although I've never had a day when the battery didn't last through the full day (ran it down to 5% a few times). I read something about 4.3 allowing us to access contacts from the dial pad. I'm going to look for that setting later tonight.

All in all, I switched to Android from iOS last year and I'm very happy I did.

Open up the phone app and tap the 3 dots to access this setting... I really like it

The few issues I have encountered have been app related (force closes) and have been addressed by updates within hours of sending bug reports to Google. If you can't wait for the update, you need to inform developers when you encounter problems so they can be fixed. If you need a bug free environment, stick with Android 4.2.2 for 6 weeks or so to give the application developers the chance to catch up with the changes incorporated in Android 4.3.

I don't care what the platform is, it always makes me laugh when I see people NOT wiping their device before doing an OS re- or upgrade-install. Oh well, it's their device to f*** up if they choose.

Why should Google post information about it's product on Facebook at the first place?
I don't have it and don't care about it. So some other people. :p
Official information should go to it's official site first and can be duplicated wherever they like it to be.

No issues with 4.3 so far BTW.

As a regular FB user, I couldn't agree more with this. Google has official communication channels, all public and all on the Internet. People who can't figure that out probably shouldn't have a smartphone in the first place. Heck, what are they doing owning a computer, either?

There really aren't any widespread issues. Rare ones get magnified when you come to the forums, as most posts are made to express a problem. For every post or thread complaining about an issue you have to assume there are hundreds of quiet happy customers. :)

I'm happy happy happy.

Other than the netflix bug, what are the issues? This has actually been a really quiet update.

I know! That's what I keep wondering. When people slap a refreshed OS on top of God-only-knows-what present environment state, what is it exactly they expect?

When you paint, for instance, the first thing you do isn't slap paint on whatever's there. You clean the surface, possibly do some sanding on it, clean that off, apply primer, and then and only then do you put paint on it. That's simply a best-practices approach. But, I guess people don't have time to do something right initially; they only have time to do it over (and over and over and over) again.

People love to half *** things then get on user forums and complain about all the bugs. (This is a true story)

I didn't know there were any bugs. I have a Nexus 4 and 7 and both have been running perfectly since updating.

When you paint, the first thing you do is read the manufacturer's instructions printed on the side of the can. That will tell you what you need to know, including (but not limited to) surface preparation.

I don't think people would have a problem doing a factory reset before a system update if LG or Google instructed them to do so. What we need to do is find the appropriate documentation that would be equivalent to the instructions printed on the side of a paint can. It would probably be something that was included in the box with the Nexus 4. If you can show people where the instructions are, they can't complain if they don't follow the directions.
