Has anyone used an unlocked phone on Tmobile? Any issues?

I am interested in purchasing an unlocked Pixel 3XL from Google and using it with T-mobile. I have never used an unlocked phone before so I'm leary of purchasing one and it not working as well as the phones purchased through T-mobile. Anyone have any experience using an unlocked phone with T-mobile's network?

Just in case you look back, I'm using a Pixel 2 on a TMobile MVNO (Mint), and I used to use an unlocked Note 3 on TMobile directly.
