Has anyone used.......

Yeah I just as soon use my finger but whatever way you prefer I say go for it, I mean it should work ..... just not my preference way

I tried a stylus with same description when I had my original droid...I had a screen protector on it....and that may have been why ..but it didn't work well at all...maybe I was just unlucky...but just thought I would let you know.

Then you'd have to carry a stylus around in your pocket and pull it out every time you wanted to use the phone. The Palms and some of the older WinMo devices had a slot that the stylus rode in on the device, but I still was always loosing mine. Fingers are best. You can get used to anything if you use it long enough.

Haha! I was wondering the same thing...where is the OP going to keep the stylus?

I made a custom stylus using a fat knitting needle. I filed and polished the tip so it is more ball like. I use velcro to keep it with the N1. It comes in very handy when surfing web sites. so I don't have to blow up the page just to fit my finger to some tiny button or other.
Another mod I made was to dremel out the speaker hole for more volume.

I read somewhere about a glove mod for this purpose. Sewing conductive foam into the tip of the finger of a glove and pulling a bit of it through a slit to the outside supposedly will let you use your phone with gloves on. Has anyone tried this?

I've ran the gambit

Sounds like you're on your way to a free HAL 9000 :-)

Never tried it, though I used to love using a stylus as well. In fact I still use one on the DS. My old iPod Touch got me used to finger navigation, though, and I don't know if I could ever go back on my Droid X
