has water damage killed my phone? Galaxy S5

I was at a coworkers party and was tossed into the pool with my phone in my pocket, immediately i took it out of my pocket and left it on the side of the pool, coworker had no rice at his house, so i had to wait like 5 hours till I got back home to rice it, which I did for about 24 hours. Now, I took it out, had it charge for about 30 mins, tried the tip from here from a youtube video where you take the battery out and discharge it, which after I did the phone was constantly vibrating even when off. Only when not charging is there a issue with the vibrating. And wont turn on now. Is my phone dead?

I would venture to say that whoever threw you in the pool owes you a new phone.

Was the waterproofing flaps closed? Anyway, maybe chemical connections in the pool additives (chlor/acid) might have done a short-circuit....

Also sadly Samsung has made a flaw for making Galaxy s5 either "Waterproof" or "Water resistant"

I would check the water damage indicators to see if wager actually got into the phone. If it did, then your phone is......broken.
