I'm currently using a GS5 with Android 6.0.1, updated though 07/01/2017 and with Verizon service.
I've seen these YouTube videos, claiming that you can enter all these different hash tag codes to get various bits of information about your service. For example, they claim that you can find out if someone is tracking you or redirecting your phone, etc, or get IEMI info or other things.
For example, if you enter *#21#, it tells you if your calls, messages and other data are being diverted.
Or, if you enter *#62#, you where they're being redirected, if they are...
Or ##002 # switches off all re-direction.
Or *#06 gives you the IEMI info.
OR *#*#4636#*# to navigate to the phone info.
Yet, when I attempt to enter these codes into the standard Verizon phone dial pad (i.e. "Phone"), I get nothing. It actually attempts to dial the code and give the obvious error.
Therefore, either:
1) I'm using the wrong app to dial these codes;
2) The codes don't work at all on a Verizon phone;
3) The codes don't work on any Android Phone;
4) The codes don't work at all (i.e. it's all bunk...).
Any guidance/help would be greatly appreciated.
