Hating google now search ...

I love how everything on android is easy to accomplish, so it boggles me why google has decided to run its search engine in such cubersome manner... I press on quick search widget, no option to take me directly to default browser, instead I have to search in a simplified google search page where I can't even open multiple tabs, WTF ?!
Any way around this mess ?

Yep..it's called Google Chrome...Multiple tabs, and it works the same way as the Chrome browser on a computer...

Why don't you forget about widgets and instead put an icon of your favourite browser?

Nope...I have the Google Now widget on my homescreen with the weatherbug prime or whatever it is, and Chrome in my dock.
