have I bricked my kindles battery

I had a rom called glazed ics then a long time later tge irange charging light started acting funny so I flashed back to rooted stock and there is a question mark on the battery icon and it wont charge ifi keep it plugged in and use it it wont turn off but I dont it will turn off what did I do?
