i currently have the original droidx eb01 debloated odin package. can i accept the ota update from verizon or will it screw up my phone.

You can accept the OTA but it will fail. You will only be able to update via the OTA if you are running stock

You can accept the OTA . It is safe.
You can't do an OTA update with a rooted phone, at least this is my understanding.
I actually tried and had to return to stock in order to get the ED01 modem before flashing the community rom. So safe or not, it seems to be somewhat impossible. *shrug*

Mostly.

Being rooted alone won't prevent the OTA from running and completing successfully. However, being debloated, on a non-stock ROM, and such will prevent the OTA

thank you for you quick responses. I actually am happy with the set up that I have now with the leaked froyo debloated. What is the advantage of taking the over the air update? Should I just odin landsharks new version of the debloated over the one I have now? I understand it has the ec01 radio. Whould this version be better over the one I have running now. thanks for the help.

You get the ED01 radio... I was bored last night and flashed back to DI01. Got all the OTA's etc. Then flashed KangBang back on my phone. Once you do that I will tell you this much... You're appreciation for the Devs will run that much deeper. Spent an hour or so messing around on stock DI01 and I have to tell you that most don't realize/remember just how much Verizon jacked up such a great tool.
