Have to clear data on CNN app on regular basis

A few times a week my CNN app locks and I have to go to settings, App Info and clear data to get the app to work. The app works for a day or so and locks again. Anyone seeing something similar? Any suggestions on a solution?

The Google Play app page for the CNN app does have some reviews recently that complain about slow performance or freezing up, so it doesn't sound like it's just you. Send them some feedback from either the app or the Google Play page, and let them know this has to be fixed!
