Have to uninstall and clean-reinstall Gmail

I'm hoping a clean reinstall will fix the following problems. Google help has been, I'm, less than helpful.

1. Google says that using the Move menu item will tell Gmail to always send a sender's message to the specified mailbox. E.G. Always assign messages from The New York Times to the "factoids" label. In other words, using the Move command TEACHES Gmail that all messages from the New York Times to straight to Factoids. from now on without touching the Inbox. Move is like an Outlook Rule.

In contrast, if I use the Label command instead, I'm just moving that specific New York Times message into Factoids, but not establishing a rule that covers all New York Times messages.

At least that's what Gmail Help says.

I wish.

Problem 2. Using the mobile app, my All Mail mailbox doesn't show the most recent two or three weeks. I have to go to the Web version to get an up - to - the minute view.

Problem 3. The mobile app won't display my spam. It tells me that I have, say, 57 spam but when I open the Spam folder, it tells me there are no spam. I have to go to the Web version to see and delete it.

If I do uninstall Gmail, I will try to back up everything I can to the web. However, I'm bound to lose something, no? What will I lose?
