Have you cracked your Nexus 4 yet?

Hello everyone!
My first post here. I had my Nexus 4 in my pocket. My jeans was laying on floor. When I took my jeans, my Nexus fell out the pocket on the floor and cracked quite well.
I live in Sweden, is there any way to order a new backside? I talked with a company that repair iphones, but they couldnt manage Nexus 4 they told me.

Whats the best way to do? I know the best thing isnt dropping it, but this is the first time for me. I dont want an ugly bumper eigther, I Just want to replace the back side.
Will the glass stay there? I had a lots of small glass pieces in my hand at first.
call LG.

Interesting. I have same crack, inch above camera, at the very top of the phone. Hairline. No drops. While looking more carefully, I found one at the bottom of the phone. Both are near the edges and very small. Like I say, no drops for me and if it comes from setting it down or pressure of some sort, then this is a very delicate phone.

My condolences. Mine dropped on to wooden floor from less than 30cms... shattered in two places *sighs*. The case for it arrived two days later.

I was wondering if I were to remove all of the shattered glass, will the camera be exposed or is there another bit of glass/plastic there?

my N4 has a crack strait across the back also. Never dropped id' It must of happened in my pocket also. Had the phone 12 days and Google basicaly laughed at me when I called them. Cant wait for the Galaxy 4 to come out. That was a $350 lesson.

Haven't cracked it, but it's got a couple of nasty scratches on it, and I have no idea how they got there. I though Gorilla Glass II would be pretty tough stuff. I have a one inch diagonal scratch across the centre of my screen. I've only had the damn thing for a week.

Same with me. Cracked in my pocket after 1st hour I had it (didn't drop or knock it). Had an iphone 4 for 2 years in the same pocket (and a 3GS for a year before that) without issue. Google fobbed me off to LG who didn't want to talk to me. Ended up paying $99 to get the back replaced.

Dropped mine about a foot onto a tile floor and it broke. It started as a small chip but grew and grew. This phone is not rugged enough for real world use.

Had less than a month, cover fitted from new, never been dropped or banged, must have cracked in my pocket. Disgraceful, surely we must have some comeback from google / LG

I dont have a pic of it but about 36 hours after I got my phone in the mail, I managed to drop it and run it over with my car. After inspection...the only thing wrong is it shattered the front screen (of course) but the rest of the phone still looks brand new.

I'll get a pic up soon but I broke my rear glass. I dropped my phone in the car and it landed underneath my car seat. I had pull the driver seat forward to reach from the back seat and in doing so, pinched the phone somehow and the back glass cracked. I have a nice gash on my case where you can see just how the damage occurred.

I got lucky that only the back broke and the front still looks like brand new. I found a new back on ebay for $40 LG E960 T Mobile Nexus 4 Rear Glass Lens Housing Case Back Battery Door Cover | eBay

I'm gonna pair this new back with a DBrand black leather skin.

A great day....wife in the Hospital after suffering a really bad compound fracture of the arm after falling off a horse and then waiting in the ER, I drop my phone square on its front on the hard floor and screen crack and no touch response...Phone is ruined.

I dropped my iPad4 as it slipped out of a backpack onto a parking deck floor.

I thought about fixing the iPad4, but it works perfect if you look right into it, which is how I use it, so I decided to keep the iPad4 ghetto and use that "repair" money on the Nexus 4. Was a good decision. Cracked screen economics I guess.

Phone does seem slippery though, so, give me a few months...

Hi,

I got my N4 on January 31st. I dropped it and cracked the screen the next day. I checked with a few phone repair shops in my area and they all told me it would cost $165 + labor to replace the screen. I then called Google who transferred me to LG. They did not tell me the cost upfront as they said they had to inspect the phone first. I shipped it USPS Priority flat rate to LG in Fort Worth. They sent me an email the next business day to approve or refuse the repair with the cost included. It was $140 for them to make the repair and I got it back a few days later. It works good as new now. They did do a factory reset, so make sure if you send it in that you back up your stuff. It took about 10 days from dropping it off at the post office to when I got it back.
