It failed?? thats really weird, i would take it to verizon and have them swap it out.

If you haven't gotten the update yet, my suggestion is to do it manually. There is NO difference in the manual update other than the process you take to get the update. It's possible your Droid got "lost" in the update push (that has happened to me before on previous devices when Verizon pushed an OTA update).

My advice to those of you who have not gotten the update pushed to them yet is to update manually. If that fails bring your device back to Verizon and ask them to exchange your phone.

i didnt get mine until i powered off the phone and back on, as soon as it came on it started downloading. Those of you that hasnt got it yet may want to try this.
