Have You Purchased the NEW Rezound?

And there are no other real phones that are likely to cause the price of the Rezound to drop much? Guess it doesn't help it being a 4G phone.

Very unlikely. Rezound is a high profile device while the GNex is basically a niche device by a different OEM.

We likely wont see a price drop on the Rezound until we see another HTC device land sometime this spring.

If that rumored quad-core beast comes out early next year, and it has the recently developed, new lithium ion batteries, I'm all over it. It's codenamed the "Ville", I believe.

You might be talking about the HTC Edge. Tegra 3 quad-core 1.5Ghz major beast with 4.7 inch HDscreen @720p. With that size screen, you might have to carry a backpack for it  HTC Ville will be dual core...??

4.7???? WOW! What is the anticipated timeframe?

Think I heard about that a couple of weeks ago, but don't think it is a 4G phone is it?

The source I saw was Q1 /early Q2 2012 and no LTE capability was mentioned. Still...that's one bruzer of a phone

Yes, I saw the same thing which is why I am beginning to believe the Rezound is going to be their top of the line model for sometime.

I am really trying to like this phone, but the choppy scrolling on the app drawer, and the somewhat non-fluid screen changes are driving me crazy! Maybe this is just a part of Sense, as I tried 2 demo units at the VZW store, and they did the same thing. I put GO Launcher EX on it, and everything is as smooth as butter, so it must be the Sense. But one should not have to install a third-party launcher on this very nice phone to smooth it out. Any suggestions?
BTW, after watching some reviews on YouTube, they all mention the choppiness. Maybe HTC will issue an update fix? If not, I will stay with my Bionic, as it will "outsmooth" this phone, and the new update has fixed the problems with the Bionic.

What you are describing as choppiness int he app drawer is common go ALL HTC phones with newer versions of Sense. There isn't anything wrong that is just how HTC wrote the code, it pauses every page or so so you dont scroll pas the app you want.

Not sure what youa re talking about the screen changes not being fluid. They seem fine to me but if you want it smoother try using fewer widgets.

Yea, this is a new feature on HTC phones. Paginating I believe it is called. It only scrolls one page of apps at a time. Now that I'm used to it i am learning to like it.

I alos have no issues scrolling through my screens

Thanks for the info. That probably is a good idea, once I get used to it. It just concerned me because I have had HTC in the past (Inc, Inc2, EVO ), and none of them did it. I'm going to hang on to it, as it seems to be a great phone, and my Bionic just sold on e-bay!

Yea I think they introduced this feature with either sense 2.0 or 2.1..... I like it more and more the more I get used to it....

For instance; if i know the app i want is two pages down instead of slowly scrolling or 'flicking' and over shooting it i just scroll two times real quick and BOOM i'm right there :)

2.1 I think, My Thunderbolt does it but my DInc doesn't. Just something to get used to.

I sold my Bionic on e-bay. I'm going to return the Rezound to Amazon. It is a great phone, but I'm going to wait until I have 4G available in my area, and then see what is out at that time. Going back to my Inc2, which in my opinion is one of the best phones on VZW. Not comparing to Bionic or Rezound per se, but just as a great all-around phone.
