I have been going back and forth with Samsung over the $25 credit. They keep saying wait two more days and I do...then call back...wait two more day. I'm getting really frustrated, by this since it was part of my purchase justification. Has anyone else had problems?

bummer! no mine was quick and painless. i registered and then received an email with the credit. it was all very automatic......

Same thing is happening to me. I'm thinking about going and buying another one and then taking it back. They want to screw me, I'll screw them lol.

I contacted samsung help through their fb page and I got a the code a day later. They asked me to do a survey and said that their 1800 line was useless and should fire all their cs people for being lazy. Lol
 
I have not been able to get my credit either been on the phone with their customer service and keep getting the run around being told that it's a waiting game as it is being handled by another department and their working as quickly as I can. Even talked to a supervisor the last time that was a week ago and still nothing. It should not take this long for them to send an email out with a code been almost 3 weeks for me now. Think I will try the FB method as I am extremely unhappy with their CS.
 
Just an update I sent a private message to Samsung's Social media support through their Facebook page and within an hour they sent me a message back with my $25.00 redemption code. I would highly suggest anyone that still has not received their code yet to contact them through Facebook.
 
I contacted them through Facebook yesterday. I'm hoping that they get my code to me today

Well, I finally got the credit. I did have to get with Samsung via facebook. The chat team was useless. Anyway try to use facebook and you'll get much better results.

I would send them a private message letting them know you have not received your credit yet and for faster results include all the information they will need like your serial number and mac address there going to ask for this information anyway. also be nice to them it's not their fault the 800 customer service is useless and from what i have seen they have helped a ton of people get there credit where the 800 customer service would not myself included.
 
I dont have facebook anymore, would there be any way for me to contact them other than via phonecall since theyre useless?

Echoing the above, not interested in giving facebook any information. Is there any other way to do this besides phone and facebook. I can't even send in a support email via my Samsung account as their automated email form won't allow me to pull down a model number for the Galaxy Note 8 and that is required to hit send on the email. What a runaround.
 
You could create one with a new email and put in only your name and then just delete it when you get your credit. I don't think there's any other way. Personally I wouldn't let 25 bucks get away because of an aversion to Facebook, but that's just me.

I bit the bullet and created the FB account (am I going to fall into the FB abyss now?). Samsung FB support quickly resolved the issue and sent me my code. I am finding that many news sites require a FB account for commenting and can use it for other apps (Bandsintown, Spotify) that require a FB login, so I guess I can hang on to it as a utility. As glad as I am that Samsung quickly resolved the issue via FB support, I am equally frustrated and mystified at the abysmal FAIL of the more traditional support portals (phone and email) at Samsung. What makes the Samsung Support FB portal so responsive and the Samsung traditional support so dysfunctional?
 
I've found Samsung support to be Useless also. I've talked to them many times with questions and never got a return call. Luckily it wasn't for any device malfunction, but still.
