HD calling

What's driving you nuts about it? HD Voice is typically another name for VoLTE (Voice over LTE), which is essential these days for making calls, since most if not all carriers require calls to be done on VoLTE. Who's your carrier?

But what's driving you nuts about it? You might run into problems making phone calls at all if you turn off VoLTE.

I have an unlocked phone on Verizon and use WiFi calling without any issues. None of my contacts was able to tell the difference in sound quality between WiFi calling and mobile network calling.

I don't see a way to turn it off on Verizon. The last time I was able to turn HD calling off I believe we lost the capability of using data while on the phone but I'm not sure

Right, that would make sense, because now that 2G/3G have been shut down, carriers rely on VoLTE for simultaneous voice and data. (Before, the voice could be on 2G and data on 4G.)

On my old LG V40 that I just mothballed when Verizon shut down their 2G/3G system all of a sudden I couldn't make or receive calls. I had to go into settings an enable HD calling and then it was back to normal.

I also have an unlocked S23U on AT&T and I don't think there is a setting you can toggle anymore. I was able to turn on WiFi calling and from what I've read, I'd you're able to do that, you have HD calling as well. I can't find any setting. I was trying to find it for the opposite reason. I wanted to make sure I had the option on my unlocked device. I was also trying to find the setting on my S21U and couldn't find it on that either. I want to say the option is gone in newer software updates but perhaps it's because I had taken the SIM out already?

I agree. I think it's a pretty useful feature.
Not related but, I also wish Google would hurry up and bring clear calling to other phones .

How did you turn it on? I can't find it. How were you able to activate it?
It's called (Samsung band selector) search it on playstore.
Then i use activities and get the hidden settings off that app , Or can just use the app.
