Hd contact photos (NO HAXSYNC)??

OK so i'm already using haxsync to sync most of my contacts in my phone. But as you know this is basically for facebook friends. So I wanted to know if there were any other ways to have hd photos for your contacts instead of blurry ones.

for some reason it wont work with my phone. im using quick pic as my gallery and it wont allow me to save the pictures that i try to crop for my contacts.

I believe it said failure to load image or something along those lines. But i've cleared data and reinstalled as well as restarted my phone. and seems to be working now. Although I added a picture but it still came out blurry. This is with the real hd resolution checked. Should I have the HD scale checked as well?

Jelly Bean stores contact photos at 720x720 res.

the problem isn't the Android phone photos resolution.
The problem are the Google servers photos size and this can't change in the near future...
