Hi everyone! Just got my first smartphone last week and am still learning the ropes and had a question.
So yesterday, for the first time, I tried to connect my phone to my Windows XP PC to unload a video I had taken onto the computer. For whatever reason, my computer says "USB device not recognized" and so I used Kies Air to move the file. (I tried installing drivers and what not and nothing worked so whatever).
However, what I realized was that in the Task Manager on the Storage panel, the actual amount of used space on the drive did not go down by the 300 MB that was that video file.
I tried again with a game I had downloaded that was 40 MB and made sure to note the starting amount but when I uninstalled it, the used storage only went down by 8 MB.
I even checked the file manager to see if the video or game files were still there and found nothing. Is it reporting it wrong or are there remnants of these files still sitting there on the HDD?
Thanks in advance for any help!
