Is anyone using the HDMI output on the Xoom for audio to their stereo via either direct connection or dock?

I tried connecting mine over the weekend and found the audio to be extremely poor with no base. Ideally I'd like to have the speaker dock permanently connected to my stereo as a charging stand audio output device to take advantage of my receiver and multi-room speakers, but the lack of any visualizer and the horrible sound from HDMI makes this a no go.

So if anyone has had a good experience trying this please let me know. Also, anyone have a recommendation for a music app with a decent visualizer?

I use HDMI out all the time. The audio is not rock star, but I LOVE the feature.

What I DON'T like, is that it locks your orientation when you plug in HDMI. the problem with this is that the HDMI port is on the bottom of the device. What I mean is that it wants to be in landscape mode regardless of the application. Tough to explain, but it's kind of a whammy.
