Headphone jack only playing on left side

I have a Vonino JaxS running Android 6.0 and I have had this device for some time but the other day when I wanted to listen to music with my headphones I found out that the audio was playing only on the left side. I plugged the headphones in my computer and they worked on both sides. Could this be a software issue on the phone as O haven't ever dropped it by accident or could this be a hardware issue?

Welcome to Android Central! Do other headphones do the same thing in the phone? If so, it's a problem with the headphone jack. Check to see if there's any debris in there -- use a can of compressed air to blow it out, and a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean out the contacts.

This has happened to me more than once when I came to find out the headphones were not plugged in fully .
