I play Pandora at work using a big stereo with my phone hooked to the aux in. If I turn the volume up all the way on the phone and all the way up on the stereo it still isn't loud but if I plug in the phone to a charger while still hooked up it boosts the volume way up. Is there a way to set the volume like that without needing to be plugged in.

That's strange. My S5 can play at the same audio level whether it is plugged in or not. Are you sure you aren't ignoring the loud volume warning that comes up? With a 3.5mm cable plugged in, the S5 will spit out a warning once you set it to a certain volume level saying that listening to loud music can damage your ears (or something like that). You have to actually select the dismiss option on the S5 in order to turn the volume up louder.

I've seen the warning come on after a while but it's quite from the start .
