Wasn't paying attention and tried to put my headphones in the s pen silo while the pen was out. Can this cause any issues for the detection of the pen. So far it's fine. Just wondering if I need to watch for anything

Unless the plug went really far in or was forced, I think more than the pen detection (the sensor is actually about halfway in) you should be more worried about having caused any cracks in the casing which might compromise the water-resistant seal or that, in time, might chip out and cause the pen to get jammed inside. If you just tried to put it in, realized it wasn't the right port and didn't force it, I think you're good.

A 1/8" headphone connector is too small and short to do any damage. I just stuck my headphones into the S-pen slot; it was a loose fit and there is no way it could crack the case.

Actually...sometimes a smaller plug has more chance of cracking things internally than a tighter fit, since you have that 'wiggle room' to actually lift the plug and move it around, potentially pushing into the wall of the S-Pen enclosure. Not sure how sturdy that is compared to the rest of the phone, but I wouldn't want to test it out. :)

You would have to "jiggle" it around extremely hard for that to happen. The amount of force needed to insert it is extremely low. As in it took NO force at all to insert it. It doesn't even touch the sides.
