heads up, S2 works fine with the LG V10

It's not on their list of supported devices, but it works fine. The built-in texting app also shows up on the watch in conversation view.

I have an LG V10 and I just currently bought the Gear S2. I am trying to connect via samsung gear app that the instructions say, but the phone and watch stays stuck the the "trying to connect" screen. I don't know what I am doing wrong, since I have triple checked that I am following the directions correctly. Are there any tips you can give me on how you got it working on your phone??? Thanks!

I figured it out. If the Gear S2 is getting stuck on the trying to pair screen, you need to uninstall and reinstall the "Samsung Accessory Service" in the apps management in the settings. After doing this, try connecting again and it should work!
