After hearing all of the horror stories lately with people already having damaged their new S6/E I ALMOST joined that group.
Over the weekend, my phone dropped face forward towards the concrete driveway as it slid off the hood of my car from a 5ft drop. It did a perfect face plant if you want to call it that and at that point I thought for sure the front glass or face was either scratched or cracked. Especially after hearing the horror stories on how delicate the device is and I knew at that point my OCD would kick in if I saw anything remotely close to being a scratch let alone a crack.
After holding my breath and picking up the phone and turning it over awaiting to what I thought would be a disaster turned out to be a relief. No damage or scratch from what I could see at all. How could this be? Granted, maybe I had a few things that factor on preventing a catastrophe and I'll add luck along with it. My phone had both a Verus case along with a Zagg screen protector which was slightly scuffed, but I just rubbed it off, thus avoiding a heart attack.
This could've gone wrong in so many ways, but a little luck and some preventive measures may have saved me from a painful lesson. I just wanted to share a positive experience with my S6E and to show it isn't that delicate of a device sometimes.
