I'd like to use my phone with an armstrap and work out with it. I'd like to be able to see a relatively consistent heart rate level. Is there some way to do this with Android that I don't know about? I know I can put my finger on the camera or take a picture of my face and figure this all out, but I'm curious about getting a constant reading...like a heart rate monitor watch or something. Is this possible? Thanks.

I have that app but it wouldn't be practical to use if I have to take my phone off my arm to get access to the camera. I appreciate the thought though. Other thoughts.

Zephyr HxM is a bluetooth heart rate monitor that works with phones. Motorola makes a bluetooth HRM as well but I believe its based off a licensed zephyr design.

Edit: They retail from $60 to $125

That's great. Where can I find it for $60?

I have had the Zephyr for a month and it is great. Got it from Endomo via their website. I safe the $60 price but shipping to Canada was $30. Endomo was cheaper, and the app is great.

Install the Cardiograph app. It is personnel heart monitoring machine. Know how fast your heart is monitoring. Its a complete free app.
