So far I've had my S6 for about 48 hours and I just noticed today that the aluminum side and the back near the power button got hotter than I expected while updating apps over LTE. I know that processors heat up when running hard but it just seemed to get hotter than I was expecting, like not just warm but hot. Anyone else experience that? Should I be concerned?

It can get hot when pushing LTE. It cools down quick though. So far not worried.

Yeah mine heated up during initial set up, downloading 55 apps over LTE but it did not last long

Mine did too during set up. It got really warm but that was the only time. haven't felt it since then.

I have a case on so no issue that I am aware of. I think if it is an issue just put your phone in power savings mode so it cuts down on energy consumption. More energy creates more heat, and I doubt you need all a cores running to get the full benefit of LTE. You can only download as much as your LTE will allow.

Yeah same with me but it known. Also htc one m9 has the sane issue. Some say it's due to the new fast processors. Does get pretty hot, but not where it makes me drop it but yeah it's know. Don't worry about it much it's not messed up as its normal.
