Has anyone experienced almost daily heating up issues even on normal tasks. I have the T Mobile version with the leatherback if that matters. Also on a side note the battery is hardly all day I can get through about 4-5 hours of on screen time.

All phones will get warm under heavy use but no abnormal temps here.

What tasks are you performing, and brightness levels etc?

Depending on the task it is normal for a phone to warm up. Especially when using mobile data for things like streaming live video and stuff.

4-5 SOT is very decent, and if by through the day you mean more than 5 hours looking at the screen i suggest a second battery or battery case.

Leather T-mobile variant here.

Mine doesn't heat up very hot even with a heavy load.

Especially compared to my old m8.

and 4-5 hours of Screen on time is pretty top of the line...

mine gets warm after gaming, google mapping and when i upload lots of photos to one drive

Mine doesn't heat up. I must not be using it hard enough. I'll try and let you guys know.

Well mine heats up usually after about 5 minutes of some texting and maybe from browsingsome news apps I don't usually use game apps or social media apps because I know those are very data hungry but I was talking about maybe just run-of-the-mill things like taking photos or texting even on the phone calls and yes I wish I could get a spare battery but since this is a fairly new device I doubt there are many accessories for it

Well I wouldn't say it gets scorching hot but the same time it gets to the point where it's almost somewhat uncomfortable in yet also very noticeable in the hand I'm sure LG didn't have this in mind when they decided to go with the 808 instead of the 810. I don't know maybe I guess I'm just being sensitive and I tell you what though I really do hope they come out with a extended battery for you soon I've been scouring eBay for one but to no avail

I've been on my phone constantly and the only time it heats up is when I have it plugged into the charger while gaming or watching YouTube. It also doesn't get as hot as my wife's M9.

Other than that, I'm on news apps, AC central, facebook, etc... With no heating.

Try installing GSam Battery Monitor -- You can then see the temperature of the device.

I haven't had the pleasure of using the gs6 but it sounds like horribly battery woes

I have the same phone with the same issues. I'm also having a problem staying connected to my wifi network at home. I just turned off the wifi to see if that will improve battery life.

Fyi. Im only getting 3 hours of SOT

LG G4 so hot during some calls that I can't comfortably hold it to my ear. Noticed this same problem mentioned online by other users. Very disappointed in LG--returning this phone and going back to Nexus 5.

I must agree with one of the comments. Today, my phone lg G4, after a full charge, began to heat up immediately as well as the battery had reduced its charge by 10% within the 1st 5 min. and continued to loose it charge completely within 6 hrs. That's a huge concern for me. Has anybody experience the very same or similar issues??? What what done about it?

Thanks

I only received my Verizon LG G4 yesterday and the heat issue is the first thing that I noticed.

Compared side-by-side with my other phones(Note 4, Note 5, S6), the G4 is noticeably warm even if I'm only checking emails for a couple of minutes. On my other phones, they don't warm up at all. I just confirmed this by using an infrared thermometer. The G4's temperature increased 11 degrees(back side) and 13 degrees(front screeen) after 5 minutes of use. On the Note 5 and Note 5, the temperature remained unchanged(front and back) with the same usage.

I supposed this must be normal? It's my first LG phone, so I guess it must be true or people would be complaining all over the internet. :D

Phones always run hot the first day or so, you're using it constantly and downloading tons of apps and updates.
