Android Central Question
Since, Android Pie, a lot of phones (with HEVC support) can shot photos in HEIF format.
Unfortunately, none of phone with pie update, even the flagships can still shot in HEIF format.
HEIF format is not only about size, but improved image quality.
The pixel until now, as far I know, can only record in HEVC.
I have a Xiaomi Mi A2, with Snapdragon 660 (which supports HEVC), with Android Pie, but still no HEIF format.
My brother Pixel 2 either.
Why Google and the other companies (like Xiaomi) are taking too long to support HEIF in their photos?
Apple has it more than a year. It is a kind of underdog feeling.
