k... so I hate my iPhone (said it)... I'm really wanting to find out what compares to it on a Android side so I can move away from their mind numbing phone :). oh... and outside galaxy s4, unless that is the obvious answer. Thanks in advance for your advice!

There are several devices. Do research and see which one is right for you. Take price, etc into account. Welcome to Android!

Welcome, I suggest heading to a store - have a play with the phones both to see what they look like and how they run e.g if you love the plain vanilla feel of Android (Google's plain model for their nexus devices) or the slightly changed models for each brand e.g Samsung's touch wizz. It really depends if your looking for value or for the best of the best! I am sure there will be a phone for you.

Thx everyone for the advice and suggestions... I think I'll take your advice @Fairclough and head to a store to play around with them for a bit... thanks again!

If you want choices that are more budget friendly, then I would suggest the Galaxy S3. Gives the iPhone a run for it's money in many aspects. Nexus 4 would be another solid choice. If you can, get the one with the larger hard drive, due to you can't add an SD card. But playing with phones and seeing what you like is the best way to go. Also, decide what features you would like on the phone. Personally, I like having a removable SD card. I can add a lot of space for relatively little cost. Since apps can'r be moved to SD cards, I put music and backup files on my card. It helps keep the phone free for apps and other system dependent files. Also, with a removable card, if I need to move or transfer large files, it is often easier to remove the card and put it in my PC.

@Golfdriver97... THANK YOU! by far some of the best advice I have gotten so far... I didn't even think about space and the potential of a SD card. That has really opened my eyes to different possibilities... thanks again for the great feedback!

Honestly the best way to experience the best android can offer is to buy a top of the line phone. I prefer the note 2, but gs4 is coming soon. Htc one is supposed to be a nice device, and im sure there are others.

Having been an iphone user from 2007 till nov 2012 there is a bit of a learning curve for android but really only because there so much more that can be done on android. The forums and youtube are really good places to start. The note 2 has hundreds if not thousands of videos on tips and tricks and cool things to do.

Also the note does support a 64gb sd card.
