My name is Mark Mandel and I live in Philadelphia. When I needed to replace my years-old smartphone, all my friends told me "For Heaven's sake DON'T get a Samsung Galaxy anything!" Well, I went to the Verizon store on Walnut about 38th and (after a lonnnnnng wait) told the sales clerk I didn't want a Stratosphere. She said "uh--huh" and started going through the boxes. It wasn't until the whole transaction was nearly done that I saw the word STRATOSPHERE on the box. "Hold on, I TOLD you I didn't want one of those!" "Oh, don't worry, that's not the brand, it's just the line," or some such BS.

This fool thing is half the time useful, half the time driving my head to explode with its insane infelicities and lousy or nonexistent UI unfeatures. Right now I'm trying to send text by Bluetooth from my iMac to the Anduhhhh.
  1. Send an rtf file: "Quickoffice: File cannot be opened"
  2. Send a .docx file: ditto.
  3. Send as .doc file: It comes through, but all the newlines have been flattened out.
WTF IS THIS GOOD FOR ANYWAY?
