I enjoyed reading the posts here so I joined! ☺ my current phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4. I am thinking of getting a Oneplus5. Thoughts?

I would personally say, go for a Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017). That would be a really nice upgrade and the software would be very similar to what you are currently using. There is definitely nothing wrong with the OnePlus 5, its awesome, just the software will be a little different to what you are used to. Some people don't like too much change

Welcome to the forums! My mom and brother had the S4 and loved them! Well, my brother hates techy stuff so he tolerated it, but my mom loved it! Haha.

With regards to the OnePlus 5, I think it's a great buy! A bit more expensive than its prior iterations, but it's still a great bang for your buck. Any particular reason why you are steering clear of Samsung devices? The S8 is really good too, however it is quite the pretty penny nowadays!

Hello Yolanda, welcome to the forums at Android Central!

I had the GS4 and loved it, after almost a year I got the GS5 and gave the GS4 to my sister, she also loved that phone.

The OP5 is a great device according to those that have used it.
I also ask what made you change from Samsung?
Especially now that we're so close to the release of the Note 8.
