For customization options, you guys should look into an app called Tasker. Its available in the Android Market Play Store. Honestly, it is a little pricey, but as far as setting up custom functions, I don't really think there is a better option. Check it out! With the enormous amount of additional plugins available, you could customize anything and everything! You may also want to check out Alarm Clock Pro by iHandySoft, there is a free version available as well so you can try the app out before spending money on it.

This is perhaps the greatest thing about Android. There really isn't anything you CAN'T do!

Quick Profiles is what use for switching to normal, silent, vibrate, loud and whatever profile you want to make and configure. Switched from storm 2 to a bionic and the lack of profiles drove me crazy until I found quick profiles. I made a profile called night time and turn off all sounds except the phone ringer. That way I have no dings waking me up.

I downloaded QP but couldn't see how to separate text from email notifications. Is it possible to have texts ding loudly and keep all emails as silent?

Is it possible to do a Universal Search for something(email, text) for a specific contact like on the 9650? Or do you have to go through email folder/text messages till you find all of the ones from a specific contact? Right now I can type in Brian and it will pull all texts in to a group, all emails, phone calls,.... This is a feature I really like and I can't remember if me D2 did that or not. Thinking about going with the MAXX.
