Help! Cant transfer photos to my computer

I have a samsung galaxy s3 and i cant transfer anything to my macbook ive tried changing the usb setting to MTP but the android file transfer still says please connect with a usb cable????? can someone please help??

I don't have a Mac, but according to the Verizon Galaxy S3 manual (link here: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/c...0/VZW_SCH-i535_English_User_Manual_LG1_F5.pdf), you need to install this program on your Mac: Android.com

yeah i did download that app and it wont work!!! when i open it when my phone is connected it just tells me '' no android device found please connect your android device with a usb cable to get started'' like wtf

I had a similar problem before....after hours of trial and error, resetting drivers, and tech support....It turned out I had a bad cable. Go figure.

Are you using the original USB cable or a 3rd party one?

95% of the time......................bad cable. In your case I'd say 100%....especially since its not doing anything..

If you have a home wifi connection, get a wifi transfer app. I use Wifi File Explorer.
