I am a long time Apple user, my two experiences with android have been poor ones. Now I am knocking no devices. I am just expressing my experience.

Slow, laggy, apps are half assed compared to their ios counterparts. (Facebook). That was my droid Eris and Galaxy phone I had (can't rememebr which Galaxy. Sorry. Pre s3.)

Now I've been looking at the note 4 compared the the iphone 6+, wow are the specs on the n4 light years ahead of apples phablets or what?!

The phone looks beautiful, I enjoyed the way it felt in my hand. I mean it's HUGE. But for some reason I love it.

I'm looking at using a different launcher, blah @ touch wiz. I hear it bogs the phones down from their true potential. I hear nova launcher is good, but can I still use the functions of the spen, and hand write notes?

Are their some fairly good music players for android? I don't have a large data plan so I don't stream much. I see utorrent now has an android app, can I download media directly to the device and manage id3 tags and etc from a media player? Also use Netflix at home, and my iPhone to control my roku. I surf reddit a lot with alien blue.

Really how well does the note fit into your life? I wear jeans and khakis for work, I cut meat so I stand for most of my work shifts. Will it be okay in my front pants pocket, what about when I crouch down a bit? Any restrictions?

Finally any must have accessories? 64gb sd card is one of my first purchase after I buy the phone. Slim case with a kick stand?

Also I'm very partial to the white color, it looks great. What do you guys prefer?

If your last android experience was the Eris and S1, I completely understand why you didn't enjoy the experience.

TouchWiz has come a long way since the last time you saw it.

You will be very impressed with the functionality and build of this phone coming from iOS.

Yeah, I think you'd be pleased. Awesome phone. Great OS and apps. Comparing this phone, after having an iPhone, you'll feel like you've left your mom's basement, and moved in to a nice house with a super model looking girl that can cook, and help your kid with calculus.

The phone is thin, but it's a bit tall in front jeans pockets. It works fine for me while standing, but when I crouch or get up in to my truck, it feels like it's in the way. I take it out just before I get in my truck. If you're standing all day, but crouch, maybe try your back pocket (just don't sit on it)

I do service work on garage doors and use my note 4 for work. I have it in my pocket while I work. No issues with it falling out or being too big. I take a lot of pics for work. Great phone that helps me with work with taking notes and using GPS.

I don't have any issues with the size of the phone. It's big but my pockets are big as well. I'm 5'11" and wear size 36x32 jeans. They are not skinny jeans. The build quality of the note is very nice. Much better than the S5. I have no issue with the height but the width does make it stick out a bit. My wife has the M8 and it is similar in height but not nearly as wide. It feels better in pocket than the note.

Honestly, there is still some lag to be found here and there. The phone is fast but sometimes there's a small delay. For instance, when in the camera and tapping on the gallery it takes a second or two to open the photo in the gallery. Sometimes when going from one screen to another it takes an extra half a second. It's really only noticeable because it's so fast most of the time.

I came from another os (WP8) and my last experience with Android (other than the kindle fire HD) was the Nexus One. Even that generation I had a lot of issues. I still have some issues to iron out (bluetooth in my car) but I really like the phone. The pen is something you simply can't get on any other smartphone. It works well. I have used it for a few meetings and the pen comes in so handy along with the true multi-window multitasking.

The camera is very nice. It's fast, takes excellent photos, and is very versatile. I considered an iphone 6 plus but the Note just does so much more.

Thanks everybody for your input.

Seems like the note is a winner. Like EvilHomer3k said, I'm interested into the 6+, but the note really does so much more.

Anyone have any app suggestions for me? I think I'll be picking up the note tomorrow especially with the current sale price.

Good choice. The Note 4 is an amazing device. Hard to imagine what I did before it. That seems dramatic. But it is how I feel. I love this smartphone.

Nothing but Note! A little rim, some backboard, but mostly Note!
